Il Sung Na
Il Sung Na was born in 1979 in Seoul where he grew up. He came to London to take a foundation course at the Chelsea College of Art before going to Kingston University where he obtained a BA in Illustration and Animation. Since graduating in 2006 he has been working as a freelance illustrator, specialising in children’s books. His first book ZZzzz: Book of Sleep was published in August of 2007 and he has had three more books published since in a variety of countries around the world. Il Sung was short–listed for the Big Picture’s Best New Illustrators Award last year and was selected for the New Talent category in the Association of Illustrators’ awards ceremony 2007 which celebrates the best of British contemporary illustration.
